Two Men Face Charges In Connection With Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Assault
Two individuals are now facing charges related to a luggage theft where a believed to be pepper spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and charges for administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.
These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.
A toddler was caught up in the incident in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.
The incident – described by police as was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
