Homages Flow for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones persist in remembering the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt able to post publicly about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can now express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started spending more time together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the production, remarking that he doesn't recollect "one day without laughter".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Values that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

This week, a Los Angeles judge decided to bar the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the local authorities.

A court order issued a restriction on the files to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" pertaining to the probe.

The relevant authority had earlier stated their deaths were the result of foul play, with a record citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

After the killings, public individuals shared varying comments.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing divisive remarks that were widely condemned by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the critics recently. Talking on his show, Rogan labeled the statements as "disturbing" and suggested they demonstrated a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan finished by proposing that an aide could have intervened when the choice to speak on the passing was made.
