Liverpool line up to take on Frankfurt 🔴 #ChampionsLeague
Pre-Match Context
Following suffering four fixtures back-to-back, Liverpool aren't quite entering unknown territory. However, the previous occasion the club lost five losses on the bounce was during the 1950s, with manager Don Welsh. This season resulted in relegation from the top flight.
Now, nobody's implying that the team are going down now. Yet the manager will be keen to prevent repeating that bit of the past. The team must bring their domestic and European seasons back on track as soon as possible.
Frankfurt's first two fixtures in this year's competition both ended with a 5-1 scoreline—a home win over their opponents and an loss on the road at Atletico Madrid. Liverpool, on the other hand, have defeated the team Frankfurt lost to, and lost to the team Eintracht beat. Therefore, forecasting this game is especially difficult.
