Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Acclaimed writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
An official for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was reached following an review of allegations of questionable actions involving young women.
The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works combined, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
