Barça to Host First Game at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in domestic competition 30 months after they moved out for construction to commence.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators can be present as per the current authorization. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.
Recent Activities
Barcelona held an open training session at the Camp Nou in early November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
