Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
An aircraft ferrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the plane's windshield, according to an announcement which stated that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft landed based on established safety measures and all passengers, including Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer commented in a social media post.
Hegseth was returning from a short visit to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.
This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet carrying a top government figure has encountered equipment failures.
In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane carrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was forced to return to Washington after experiencing a mechanical fault.
